Description
The 5th Grade Expanded Learning Opportunities Program (ELO-P) provides students with a safe, inclusive, and engaging environment that supports academic achievement, enrichment, leadership development, and whole-child growth beyond the regular instructional day. Sierra Vista Elementary partners with ELEVO and Think Together to provide high-quality expanded learning opportunities aligned with ELO-P program requirements and student needs.
Students participate in structured, developmentally appropriate activities designed to strengthen academic skills, encourage leadership, promote collaboration, and support social-emotional wellness. Program activities may include:
- Academic enrichment and homework assistance
- Literacy, reading comprehension, and math support
- STEM, science, and project-based learning experiences
- Arts, creativity, and enrichment opportunities
- Physical fitness, recreation, and organized sports activities
- Social-emotional learning and positive peer engagement
- Leadership development, teamwork, and collaborative learning opportunities
The ELO-P program is intentionally designed to complement the regular school-day program by providing meaningful expanded learning experiences that promote student engagement, attendance, skill development, and positive relationships within a safe and supportive environment.
Through partnerships with ELEVO and Think Together, students are encouraged to build confidence, strengthen communication and problem-solving skills, develop leadership abilities, and explore new interests through high-quality after-school programming aligned with Expanded Learning Opportunities Program (ELO-P) expectations.
