Description
The Kinder KELP Early Birds Program provides supervised expanded learning support for kindergarten students before they transition into the next portion of their school day.
Students enrolled in Early Birds will participate in age-appropriate activities and supervised programming. At 11:50 a.m., Early Birds students will transition to Woodcraft Rangers, where they will continue participating in supervised activities until 1:35 p.m.
Important Dismissal Information
All Early Birds students must be picked up at 1:35 p.m. unless they are officially enrolled in the Kinder After-School Program.
Registration for Kinder KELP Early Birds does not automatically enroll your student in the Kinder After-School Program.
If your student:
- Has not completed a separate Kinder After-School registration,
- Has not received an official after-school enrollment confirmation, or
- Is currently on the after-school waitlist,
your student must be picked up at 1:35 p.m. every day until after-school enrollment is confirmed.
Families interested in the Kinder After-School Program will have an opportunity to indicate their interest during registration. Selecting that you are interested does not guarantee enrollment or reserve a space.
Minimum Days
There is no Kinder KELP Early Birds Program on Wednesdays or other district minimum days scheduled throughout the 2026–2027 school year.
On minimum days, students must be picked up at 12:05 p.m. unless they are officially enrolled in the Kinder After-School Program.
Parent/Guardian Responsibilities
Parents and guardians are responsible for:
- Keeping emergency contact and authorized pick-up information current.
- Providing important health, allergy, medication, or safety information that staff should be aware of.
- Reviewing the Parent Orientation Packet provided before participation.
- Following all program dismissal and pick-up procedures.
- Picking up their student at 1:35 p.m. when the student is not officially enrolled in the Kinder After-School Program.
The information collected during registration helps our staff provide a safe, organized, and supportive environment for all students.
