Description
Our 6th Grade Girls Competitive Basketball Team is for students who are committed, motivated, and ready to take their game to the next level. This team focuses on skill development, teamwork, discipline, and competitive play.
What Makes This Team Competitive?
- Tryouts are required to join the team
- Players are selected based on skill level, effort, attitude, and coachability
- Practices are structured, high-energy, and focused on fundamentals and game strategy
- The team will compete against other schools in organized league games
Focus Areas Include:
- Ball handling and dribbling under pressure
- Shooting technique and shot selection
- Offensive plays and defensive strategies
- Conditioning and agility
- Team communication and leadership
Expectations for Players:
- Attend all practices and games consistently
- Maintain positive sportsmanship at all times
- Demonstrate teamwork and respect for coaches, teammates, and officials
- Stay committed academically and behaviorally during the school day
This program is designed to build confidence, leadership skills, and a strong work ethic while providing students with the opportunity to compete in a structured and supportive environment.
