SoLa Foundation offers accessible educational programming for students in grades 3–12, as well as adult programming for individuals ages 18+. Our programs provide hands-on learning, career exploration, workforce development, and skill-building opportunities across technology, arts, entrepreneurship, and other growing industries.

Description
The Larry Fitzgerald Foundation and Heart of Los Angeles are proud to present the introduction of art and the technique of photography, teaching students how to see the world through a creative lens. Students explore composition, lighting, and storytelling while building a strong foundation in both technical skills and artistic vision.
What students will learn:
- Camera basics: exposure, aperture, shutter speed, and ISO
- Composition techniques for compelling images
- Lighting fundamentals for indoor and outdoor shoots
- Editing basics using photo editing software
- Visual storytelling and building a cohesive portfolio
- Critique and revision as part of the creative process
Course Conclusion:
By the end of the course, students will have developed a personal portfolio of original photographs and a solid foundation in photographic technique and artistic expression.
