Description
"The Art of the Producer" Level 1 course introduces students to creative and technical skills used by
modern producers to transform musical ideas into full length songs. Going beyond basic beat-making,
students learn how songs evolve from an initial idea to a final master recording for radio airplay,
streaming platforms, movies and multimedia. By the end of this course, students will have a
foundational understanding of music production techniques, the creative process behind
modern recordings and pathways available within music audio production, learning:
- Music & Rhythm Theory
- Digital Audio Workstations
- Beat Sequence & Arrangements
- Sound Design & Audio Effects
- Mixing & Mastering Fundamentals
- Outboard Gear & Equipment Workflows
- Publishing Rights Organizations
