Description

IT Career Accelerator is a hands-on course designed for students ages 14 to 18 who are ready to deepen their understanding of computer systems and explore real-world careers in information technology. Through interactive simulation platforms such as IT Simulator and PC Building Simulator, students will diagnose technical issues, configure operating systems, manage hardware components, and practice the troubleshooting processes used by IT professionals in modern workplaces.

Students will also explore gaming-grade PC hardware and performance optimization, working with real components to understand system architecture, cooling solutions, storage configurations, and how high-performance machines differ from standard workstations. Along the way, students will be introduced to foundational IT concepts such as system maintenance, basic networking, hardware upgrades, and the role of cybersecurity in protecting devices and data.

Through guided labs, real-world troubleshooting scenarios, and hands-on build challenges, students will strengthen their technical thinking, problem-solving, and digital literacy skills while gaining practical experience that prepares them for future pathways in IT, cybersecurity, and technology careers.
