Description
SOLID Minds Afterschool Club is a safe and supportive space for young people to grow, learn, and connect after school. Our program is designed to balance academic support, creative exploration, and personal development.
- Homework Help: Our Youth Development Specialist (YDS) staff provide small group assistance so students can complete their daily and weekly assignments.
- Art Workshops: Once a month hands-on activities such as painting, photography and mixed media give youth the chance to express themselves and build creative skills.
- Life Skills Workshops: Once a month engaging sessions help participants strengthen everyday skills such as communication, problem-solving, time management, and self-care.
- Nutritious Meals & Snacks: We provide healthy snacks and a warm dinner to keep youth fueled and focused throughout the afternoon.
Our mission at SOLID is to inspire youth to become leaders and peacemakers. Our SOLID Minds Afterschool Club allows young people to thrive in a safe, supportive, and creative environment where their voices are valued and their potential is nurtured.

El Club Extraescolar SOLID Minds es un espacio seguro y de apoyo para que los jóvenes crezcan, aprendan y conecten después de la escuela. Nuestro programa está diseñado para equilibrar el apoyo académico, la exploración creativa y el desarrollo personal.
- Ayuda con las tareas: Nuestro equipo de Especialistas en Desarrollo Juvenil (YDS) ofrece asistencia en grupos pequeños para que los estudiantes puedan completar sus tareas diarias y semanales.
- Talleres de Arte: Una vez al mes, actividades prácticas como pintura, fotografía y técnicas mixtas brindan a los jóvenes la oportunidad de expresarse y desarrollar habilidades creativas.
- Talleres de Habilidades para la Vida: Una vez al mes, sesiones interactivas ayudan a los participantes a fortalecer habilidades cotidianas como la comunicación, la resolución de problemas, la gestión del tiempo y el autocuidado.
- Comidas y refrigerios nutritivos: Ofrecemos refrigerios saludables y una cena caliente para mantener a los jóvenes con energía y concentrados durante toda la tarde.
Nuestra misión en SOLID es inspirar a los jóvenes a convertirse en líderes y promotores de la paz. Nuestro Club Extraescolar SOLID Minds permite a los jóvenes prosperar en un entorno seguro, de apoyo y creativo donde se valoran sus voces y se fomenta su potencial.

We will meet on the second floor of the SOLID Training Facility (39 Governor St, Paterson, New Jersey 07501). Youth are expected to arrive between 3:15pm and 3:45pm and must ring the doorbell upon arrival.
