Description
GUARDIANS ONLY – A SPECIAL CLASS FOR YOU!
Join us for a supportive, informative session created just for parents and caregivers.
You’ll receive clear, accurate information on how to start meaningful conversations with your child about sexual health, including topics like consent, communication, and healthy boundaries.
This class was designed by medical students in partnership with the New Orleans Adolescent Reproductive Health Project Team to help families feel empowered. Our goal is to equip you with the tools to guide your child in making informed, respectful, and safe decisions about their bodies, relationships, and overall health.
Dear Parents and Caregivers,
At the New Orleans Adolescent Reproductive Health Project (NOARHP), we believe every child deserves access to age-appropriate, medically accurate, and culturally responsive sexual health education. When parents and guardians are included in these conversations, kids make safer, healthier, and more responsible choices.
In collaboration with LSU Health Pediatrics, NOARHP trains LSU Health, Tulane, and UQ Ochsner medical and allied health students to teach comprehensive sexual health education in New Orleans schools and community programs.
Why Take This Class?
This session will:
- Help you feel confident and prepared to talk with your child about sexual health and well-being.
- Give you strategies for having open, respectful conversations about relationships and boundaries.
- Provide tools to help your child prevent STIs, unplanned pregnancies, and unsafe situations.
- Offer guidance for teaching your child about digital safety and responsible online behavior.
