Poised Gentlemen is more than an after-school program—it’s a comprehensive youth development experience designed to help boys ages 10–13 grow into confident, respectful, and prepared young men. Families who join can expect a structured environment where character, leadership, and practical life skills are taught through engaging, hands-on activities. Your child will gain mentorship, accountability, and the tools needed to thrive in school, at home, and in the community .

What will mentors gain?

Our curriculum covers five core areas essential for early adolescent development:

1. Emotional Intelligence & Communication – self-awareness, empathy, conflict resolution, and social confidence.
2. Personal Care & Grooming – hygiene, daily routines, and self-care habits that build pride and discipline.
3. Health & Wellness – physical fitness, nutrition basics, and body awareness.
4. Personal Presentation & Style – appropriate dress, public speaking, and building a positive self-image.
5. Character & Leadership Development – positive masculinity, personal responsibility, goal-setting, and service .

What makes it unique?

Poised Gentlemen uses a station-based, interactive learning system that keeps boys engaged while allowing individualized mentor attention. Sessions are delivered by trained facilitators and supported by mentors who track progress and communicate with families. With small groups (8–12 participants per cohort), every boy receives guidance tailored to his strengths and goals .

What to expect (program structure):

• Schedule: Mondays & Wednesdays, 5–7 PM
• Duration: 12 weeks (1 week intro, 10 weeks core curriculum, 1 week celebration)
• Format: Learning stations, mentor support, peer collaboration, and progress tracking
• Celebration: At the end, families and participants gather to recognize growth and achievements .
