Description
Brew-to-Crew Club is offered to up to 12 participants who have successfully completed the Project Launch workshop. This is a four week, hands-on, experiential, skill-specific training that meets in a small-group setting. Sessions occur twice weekly for two (2) hours and will focus on the following skills:
- Customer Service 101
- Barista Basics
- Kitchen Safety & Knife Skills
- Field Trips to local businesses
- Food Handlers certification
- And more!!!
Participants receive certificates of completion and are eligible to apply and interview for paid employment through The Moon Cafe Apprenticeship Program. 'Brew-to-Crew' dives a little deeper than Project Launch, building technical and social skills specific to the professional café and food service industry. If a Brew-to-Crew participant does not wish to pursue employment at The Moon Cafe and chooses to pursue employment elsewhere, participants are eligible to receive mentorship support from TLP staff to help them prepare for the employment search, application, and interview process.
Completing this application is the final step to join the Brew-to-Crew experience. Once you have completed this step, a TLP staff will be in touch with you to confirm. You should have already participated in an interview, prior to receiving this application/registration link. Way to go using those Project Launch skills through the interview process!!!
The fee for Brew to Crew Club is $132 and includes the entire 16-hour experience. As with all activities at The Launch Pad Teen Center, scholarships are available. If a scholarship or a reduced fee is needed, please let us know. If you are registered for the 'All Access Pass' for the current school year, then this fee is waived!

Brew to Crew Club will meet in the lobby of The Launch Pad Teen Center on the days that sessions are scheduled. Depending on the activity, the group will meet in the TLP conference room or The Moon Cafe. Field trips will always depart from The Launch Pad Teen Center, in a TLP vehicle, and return to TLP by 6pm.
