Description
Thanks for your interest in signing (your child) up for African dance, drumming, and visual arts, all FREE!
During the 2025-26 school year, select TWP teens will meet weekly after school and learn African dance, African drumming, and visual arts while learning a little bit about African culture through language (Twi, Yoruba, Zulu, Swahili, for ex.). We will also have a public performance, where the kids will wear costumes with authentic African fabric, and show off what they’ve been learning Mondays after school, with them providing the visual scenery, too!
This is a brand new program, but here's a public dance performance from this past school year in March at the opening day of the MEAC tournament at the Norfolk Scope, on YouTube!
