Description

Oasis Day Club Volunteer Opportunity

True Life’s Oasis Day Club is a summer program for students in grades 6–10 that runs three days a week from late June through early August. The program is designed to create a safe, joyful, Christ-centered environment where students can build relationships, enjoy meaningful activities, receive encouragement, and be guided toward their true life, which we believe is found in Jesus Christ.

The Day Club will run Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM, beginning the last week of June and continuing through the first week of August. Students will participate in activities such as chapel, games, sports, creative stations, mentoring, meals/snacks, and weekly trips.

We are looking for volunteers who can help us create a warm, engaging, and safe experience for our students. Volunteers may serve in a variety of ways, including:

  • helping prepare, serve, or organize meals/snacks
  • assisting with activities, games, sports, STEM, arts, or other hands-on stations
  • building relationships with students and offering a positive adult presence
  • helping with check-in, hospitality, and general supervision
  • supporting trips and special outings
  • assisting with transportation, if applicable
  • helping with photography, storytelling, or behind-the-scenes support
  • praying for students, staff, and the program

You do not need to be a youth ministry expert to serve. We are simply looking for caring, dependable adults who are willing to show up, encourage students, and support the mission of True Life.

Volunteer Requirements

Because this role involves working around minors, all volunteers who will be interacting with students must have current child clearances on file before serving. This includes volunteers helping with programming, student support, trips, transportation, and supervision.

Exception: Volunteers serving only in meal preparation/cooking roles and who will not be interacting directly with students may not need child clearances, depending on the nature of their role.

If you do not currently have your clearances, our team can help guide you through that process.

Additional Notes

  • Volunteers may be able to serve one day, multiple days, or on a more consistent weekly basis, depending on availability and program needs.
  • Some roles may involve being indoors, outdoors, or helping off-site during trips.
  • A member of our team may follow up with you after registration to talk through your interests, availability, and best fit.

Thank you for considering serving with True Life this summer. Your presence could make a meaningful difference in the life of a student.
