Y.O.U.TH is proud to partner with Double Dragon Kenpo Karate — New Student Registration
Where basics become instinct.
American Kenpo in the Parker/Planas lineage, taught at the Y.O.U.TH Center on SE Stark St. in Portland. Head instructor Sifu Martino is a 3rd-degree black belt with 30+ years teaching experience.
Every student trains under the same curriculum — the intensity scales to the student. Kids build focus, confidence, and respect in a structured, encouraging room. Adults learn practical self-defense they can count on, plus the conditioning to use it. Technique and control come first, and everyone moves at their own pace.
Programs
- Lil Tigers · Ages 6–10 — Kenpo basics, focus drills, anti-bully awareness. Tue & Thu, 5:30 PM (50 min)
- Juniors · Ages 11–17 — Economy of motion, basic rules and principles of Double Dragon American Kenpo Karate, katas and techniques Tue & Thu, 5:30 PM (50 min)
Tuition: $100 a month, unlimited classes. No contract. (If the fee is a road block please reach out for scholarship options)
Before your first class
- Wear t-shirt and shorts — no uniform needed - Uniform will be available for purchase through instructor
- Arrive 10 minutes early to sign a waiver
- Water bottle full
- Parents are welcome to watch every class
