This course is designed to introduce students to the exciting world of computer science, electronics, and engineering through the use of Raspberry Pi. Students will learn the basics of Python programming, how to manipulate GPIO (General Purpose Input/Output) pins for controlling external hardware, and integrating various sensors and LEDs to create interactive projects. Emphasizing teamwork, problem-solving, and real-world applications, the course aims to inspire students to explore STEM fields. A unique aspect of our curriculum is the integration of social justice themes, encouraging students to think about how technology can be used to address community challenges. By the end of the course, students will have the skills to design and build their own Raspberry Pi-based devices.
