LIU- San Jose VCA Intro to Piano Class (Spring 2026)

Description

Introduction to Piano — a class designed to help young learners discover the joy of music while

building a strong foundation in piano fundamentals.

In this class, students will be introduced to the basics of piano playing in a fun, encouraging, and

faith-filled environment. Through hands-on practice, listening, and creative activities,

participants will develop skills that inspire both musical growth and personal discipline.

Students will learn to:

 Identify piano keys, notes, and rhythms

 Read basic sheet music and play simple songs

 Understand musical dynamics and expression

 Develop focus, patience, and confidence through practice

As we learn together, students will see that music is more than just notes on a page — it’s a

powerful way to express creativity, emotion, and gratitude. By the end of the course, each

student will be equipped with the tools to continue their musical journey and use their gift to

bring joy to others and honor God through music.
