Apex Youth Council

Description

Join our youth council! As a youth-led organization, we want students to voice their opinions and ideas when it comes to decisions that affect them. Our youth council is a place for students who care about social issues, community projects, and youth empowerment.

This gives you a seat at the table and the tools to lead. From planning events to shaping programs at Apex , this is where your voice matters.

Positions available for election are below. During the first and second meetings we will discuss general goals, plans, and prepare for elections of each position. Each student will be given time for a speech, if they choose.

Positions:

President / Chairperson -

-Chair all meetings and set the agenda.

-Represent the council at public events and meetings.

-Coordinate with adult advisors.

-Guide the council in setting and achieving goals.

-Resolve conflicts and ensure fair participation.

Vice President

-Assist with planning and running meetings.

-Lead specific projects or committees.

-Help maintain communication within the council.

-Take on additional leadership duties as needed.

Secretary

-Takes notes at meetings

-Reminds people about meetings

Treasurer

-Keeps track of spending

-Helps plan how to use money

General Members / Representatives

-Share ideas

-Attend meetings

-Help with events

-Speak for other kids
