Description
Nature Explorers is an experiential learning program for middle and high schoolers put on by Carlisle Academy. Participants will learn nature skills, creative thinking, observation and attentiveness, and more!
Learning modules include:
- Nature Walk Activities
- Whittling
- Field Guide Study
- Tree ID
- Shelter Building
- Eco-Art
Carlisle Academy uses the tranquil forest environment and their surrounding natural world to provide opportunities for students to develop an appreciation and respect for natural spaces, while fostering natural and wildcrafting skills. Providing creative experiences outdoors through hands-on activities encourages students to take risks, problem solve, and work together to explore the endless opportunities for growth and connection with each other and nature.
This program is taught by Carlisle Academy's outdoor educator and licensed Occupational Therapist.
This program is totally free! We will leave Apex Tuesdays at 3:40pm and return by 5:45pm. Transportation to and from Apex is included.
