Tue • Grades: 8th to 12th
Description
Apex Youth Connection has a special opportunity for curious teens grades 8-12 to explore “behind the scenes” of STEM careers in our community. We will be the host site for a Teen Science Cafe on Tuesday's at Apex from 5-7pm starting October 28th.
You do not need to have a strong STEM background, just a lot of curiosity and a desire to be part of a team that will take a deep dive into the lives of STEM workers. You will have opportunities to visit workplaces and meet Scientists, Technicians , Engineers and Mathematicians that use their skills daily to create, innovate and improve your world.
The Teen science Cafe Team will create three “Cafe’s”, or presentations, for peers to come and hear from a STEM professional, and engage in a STEM hands-on activity related to the presentation. Snacks and drinks will be provided!
