About

The CFI Ukulele Club is a club for 4th-5th grade students who want to have fun learning a wide variety of songs from different styles and eras. Instruction meets the student where they are, and challenges them to creatively explore their potential in coaxing beautiful sounds out of the beautifully simple 4-string ukulele.

Learning a musical instrument is a confidence-building activity that gives the musician an opportunity to develop their expressive capabilities. Additionally, club participants learn to work with one another for the good of the group, so that they can enjoy growing and learning together, Participants have opportunities to share songs with one another, work in small groups, and perform for school functions.

Participants are expected to attend all sessions unless they are out of school for personal illness or other unavoidable reason. Participants and guardians are required to sign a student musician contract acknowledging they will abide by the rules of the club.
