About

Founded in 2010, Eway is a pioneer of environmental education and nature conservation. in 2023, we served eight-hundred and thirty-six youth and young adults in 2023. This year brought us new partnerships with Marion County Purdue Extension, The Indiana Forest Alliance, Butler University's Center for Citizenship and Community, Indianapolis Public School Butler Lab #55 and Spring Mill Elementary.

Eway Foundation established two Cornell University, School of Ornithology, eBird Hotpots at the Keystone-Monon Community GreenSpace and Arsenal Park. We also sponsored implement features at these locations, including bird feeders and an entomology lab.

Through collaboration with Monon House Farms, the Foundation donated more than five-hundred pounds of fresh produce, fruits, and vegetables to the Monon Trail Mini-Pantry.

More than twenty families benefited from Gleaners Food Pantry boxes during the Summer Sustainability Camp held from June to August. The weekly distribution of food was made possible through Gleaners' summer nutrition program. All Eway campers received one box weekly.

Eway also partnered with the Indianapolis Black Firefighters Association, and Stepping Stones Learning Academy, to deliver Civic Engagement activities to residents and neighbors of the Keystone-Monon neighborhood.

The year 2024 is sure to bring equal or greater opportunities in our efforts to sustain the work of previous years.

The continuous goal of Eway is to build on the foundation that was laid in the early days of the organization; "To create a Culture of Peace through the Arts and Humanities."
