We are Jason and Emily (Pience) DuFour. Together, with our community, we are Four Pence.
Together we knew we wanted to create a home for our crafts, and a home for our friends to craft. We wanted to create a space for community, where anyone can come and make something, weird or wacky. Where we can be inspired by each others’ successes and learnings.
So what does that look like?
In the “Old Curly’s”
1- It’s a store selling a hand curated selection of local art, and vintage finds. Unique, unusual, interesting. No made in China, faux modern farmhouse stuff.
2 - It’s a classroom space where we host paint parties, art camps and lessons, knitting circles, open mic nights, board game tournaments, Girl Scouts cookie sales, art pop up shops, art afternoons with friends, - just about anything (legal 😜) you want to do, we can help make it happen here.
3 - Mostly, it’s community. It’s people being together. Having a place to be, to feel welcomed, to have space to spread out your art supplies or use some of ours, to meet others, to create. And to connect with other artists or makers.
We hope you will join us in our dream to
“Create A Community of Art”.
