Program Description
Engineering Her Dream is an empowering STEM enrichment program designed specifically for girls ages 9–12 to explore robotics, engineering, coding, and innovation through the exciting world of VEX IQ Robotics. The program inspires young girls to become confident creators, problem-solvers, and future leaders in science and technology by combining hands-on learning with teamwork, creativity, and real-world engineering challenges. Participants will learn how to design, build, and program VEX IQ robots while developing critical thinking, communication, and leadership skills. Through engaging projects and interactive competitions, girls will gain confidence in their abilities and discover that engineering is not only achievable—but fun, creative, and impactful. Engineering Her Dream creates a supportive environment where girls are encouraged to ask questions, experiment boldly, and see themselves as future engineers, inventors, and technology innovators.
Program Goals
- Increase girls’ interest and confidence in STEM and engineering
- Introduce foundational robotics and coding concepts using VEX IQ
- Develop teamwork, leadership, and problem-solving skills
- Encourage creativity, innovation, and design thinking
- Expose participants to female role models and careers in STEM
What Participants Will Learn

- Build and operate VEX IQ robots
