The Youth Community Outreach Division of the Greenville Police Department focuses on education and rehabilitation rather than punishment when working with juveniles and young offenders.
In 2019, PAL proudly served:
Through fun and mentorship, PAL empowers youth to learn, grow, and thrive in a supportive community.
Since its launch in 2007, the Greenville PAL Summer Camp has provided an exciting, safe, and enriching experience for children ages 5–13. This eight-week program is offered at three convenient locations: South Greenville Recreation Center, E.B. Aycock Middle School, and Eppes Recreation Center. In the summer of 2019, the camps welcomed 100 youth, offering engaging activities led by PAL Officers, part-time staff, and seven rotating School Resource Officers (SROs). PAL Summer Camp has also partnered with the Girl Scouts to provide special workshops and activities for girls, ensuring a well-rounded experience filled with fun, learning, and mentorship. Through games, hands-on activities, and positive role models, the PAL Summer Camp empowers children to learn, grow, and create lasting memories.
Since its launch in Fall 2007, the Greenville PAL After School Program has provided a safe, engaging, and educational environment for youth on every day that Pitt County Schools are in session. Our program operates at two convenient locations: West Eppes Recreation Center and South Greenville Recreation Center, serving approximately 50 students per site each semester.
The program partners with local agencies and community organizations to enhance learning and mentorship opportunities:
