Description

ProjectArt’s free classes run from September - May. Materials are provided for all students ages 4-18. Local, professional artists teach classes aligned with the National Arts Education Association standards and are informed by the teaching artist's personal artistic practice. ProjectArt classes are fun, imaginative, and cultivate a love of learning.

Enrollment is ongoing throughout the year. Registration is required in advance and space is limited.

Current Class Project:

Paper as surface, sculpture, and ideas

"Paper as surface, sculpture, and ideas" starts on October 23rd through November 20th.

This project will show students a variety of works of and on paper. Students will primarily use paper as material to create different 2D and 3D projects. We will study the history of paper making and how it evolves. Then we will have an easy "make your own paper" workshop to show students how easy and fun it is to make your own paper with recycled materials. We will also create some simple origami sculptures, drawings, and shapes with paper.
