Description
ProjectArt’s free classes run from September - May. Materials are provided for all students ages 4-18. Local, professional artists teach classes aligned with the National Arts Education Association standards and are informed by the teaching artist's personal artistic practice. ProjectArt classes are fun, imaginative, and cultivate a love of learning.
Enrollment is ongoing throughout the year. Registration is required in advance and space is limited.

Current Project: Totems
A totem is a symbolic structure or object that represents stories, values, or identities. Totems are often connected to tribal cultures, where they are used to honor ancestors, celebrate nature, or tell the stories of a community. In this project, we will learn how to create their own collaborative totem, drawing inspiration from this rich tradition. Using paper materials and recycled boxes, we will design and build a tall, colorful totem together. Each child will contribute a unique character to the totem, incorporating 3D elements and decorating with paint, collage, and drawings.
