📚 Project Stepping Stone of Indiana (PSS) is a FREE, ONE-WEEK college prep and leadership development program for Hispanic/Latino high school sophomores and juniors in Indiana. Since 2004, our summer program (one week in June each year), selects 50+ Hispanic/Latino high school students to travel to different college campuses across Indiana where they stay overnight on campus dorms, are introduced to potential careers, learn the ins and outs of college admissions, receive personalized career coaching, and much more. The PSS College Prep week provides information that allows students to realize their personal strengths, academic paths, and even choice of university. All sessions at PSS are taught in English. 🎓

With a strong alumni base of almost twenty years, our PSS alumni are graduating from two- and four-year colleges in Indiana and other states; going to Ivy League and other top grad schools; and work in the Indiana State House, Fortune 500 companies, local nonprofits, federal agencies, and policy think tanks. Several PSS alumni have received their Doctoral degrees, a PSS alumna has won a Pulitzer Prize for journalistic work, an alumnus received a Grammy for his contributions on a jazz album, and two PSS alumni have served in the Peace Corps.

As a Hispanic/Latino founded and led nonprofit, the community PSS fosters allows students to build a supportive, vulnerable, and energizing space. Students leave feeling seen, heard, supported, and celebrated!
