About
STAIR of Birmingham is a nonprofit literacy organization that provides free, one-on-one reading tutoring to elementary students across the Birmingham area. With the help of dedicated volunteer tutors, students build stronger reading skills, greater confidence, and a love of learning in a supportive and encouraging environment. STAIR provides all training, curriculum, and materials, so volunteers do not need prior teaching or tutoring experience to make a meaningful difference.
