The Sloane Stephens Foundation enhances the quality of life for students through exposure to tennis and sports as a basis for life-long learning, educational enhancements informed by a nurturing, trauma-informed approach, and healthy lifestyle choices in and out of the classroom.
Our work is year-round and intentionally designed to meet students where they are—on the court, in the classroom, and within their communities.
During the school year, we offer daily after-school programming that blends academic support, social-emotional development, and athletic engagement. Our signature programs—including Future Kids Club in Compton, STAR recess programs in Compton, Broward County, and park-based programs in South Florida—provide students with tutoring, mentoring, and structured physical activity through tennis, soccer, futsal, and esports. These experiences are led by trusted adults and informed by trauma-sensitive practices to ensure every child is seen, supported, and empowered to thrive.
On weekends, students have access to year-round swim lessons, tennis programming, soccer leagues, and mentoring opportunities that keep them active, connected, and continuously learning. These weekend offerings are especially important for students who need structured, positive outlets outside of school hours.
In the summer, we offer full-day, no-cost camps that combine tennis, swimming, soccer, and educational enrichment with workshops on leadership, goal-setting, and mental wellness. Our summer programming helps prevent learning loss while keeping kids physically active and emotionally engaged in safe, nurturing environments.
Throughout the year, students benefit from unique enrichment experiences such as Play Days, USTA Foundation events, college tours, guest speakers, academic scholarships, and career exploration activities—all designed to broaden their vision of what’s possible.
At the heart of everything we do is a deep commitment to equity and access. The Sloane Stephens Foundation is creating a pathway for young people to discover their strengths, explore their interests, and unlock their full potential—on the court, in the classroom, and beyond.
