Thank you for your interest in becoming a ReadUP volunteer tutor!
About ReadUP
ReadUP is a literacy initiative of United Way of Central Indiana that partners with local elementary schools across seven Central Indiana counties to help third-grade students strengthen their reading skills. Through one-on-one tutoring, caring adult volunteers use engaging books and evidence-based literacy strategies to build students' vocabulary, reading fluency, comprehension, and confidence throughout the school year.
Volunteer Registration Information
On the registration form, you will select the type of commitment that works best for you:
- Weekly: Tutor students on the same day each week.
- Biweekly: Tutor students on the same day every other week, alternating weeks with a partner.
Planning to volunteer biweekly? You are responsible for finding your own partner. Your partner must complete a separate volunteer registration form and select the same school, day, and biweekly commitment.
Please allow 5–7 business days after your registration submission to receive a response from a ReadUP Coordinator regarding your next steps.
