About

Parkridge Community Center has been the heart and soul of Ypsilanti’s

African American community and has served as a foundation for the city’s south side for over 75 years.

Focusing on education, health, leadership, empowerment, social development and more, Parkridge offers programming and services for community residents of all ages. In particular, we are designed to actively involve youth in safe, positive and structured activities after school and during critical gaps between academic terms to engage in education pathways leading out of poverty.

Washtenaw Community College (WCC) and the City of Ypsilanti formally partnered in 2012, creating WCC at Parkridge.
