Center for Inquiry School 70 (CFI 70) is a kindergarten through 7th-grade school located in Indianapolis, IN. Their mission is to develop a community of lifelong learners who use inquiry and critical thinking to be socially responsible contributors to a changing global society. Supplementing student class time with diverse and enriching afterschool activities is a focus for school administrators and parents.
To manage afterschool activities and ensure information reaches parents. At CFI 70, paper flyers were printed and put in student folders on Fridays. This put all of the responsibility for parent communication on the students. Using paper flyers meant that information was slipping through the cracks, afterschool activity registration was suffering, and the management of payments, registration, and attendance was increasingly complicated.
